David Hutchens

Mr. Hutchens’ career in the energy sector spans more than 25 years, having held a variety of positions at the Corporation’s electric and gas utilities in Arizona as well as with Fortis. Mr. Hutchens was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Fortis as well as Chief Executive Officer of UNS Energy Corporation in Arizona. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President of Western Utility Operations of Fortis while also maintaining his responsibilities as President and CEO of UNS Energy Corporation.
Mr. Hutchens holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona and is a former nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.
He serves on the Boards of Directors of ITC Holdings, Central Hudson, UNS, and FortisAlberta, all Fortis utilities

Tanya Finlay

Before joining Fortis, Ms. Finlay’s work experience was concentrated in Newfoundland and Labrador’s public health sector, where she held progressively senior human resource management roles, including Vice President, Human Resources with the province’s second-largest regional health authority.
Ms. Finlay earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University and a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University.
She has served as a board director in the non-profit and financial services sectors and represented Fortis as Diversity Champion with the Women Executive Network (WXN), a national organization dedicated to propelling the advancement of diverse women across Canada.

Keri Glitch
Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Ms. Glitch’s career began in the energy sector in 2005. She provides information technology and cybersecurity oversight at Fortis. Before joining Fortis, she was Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO). She was responsible for integrating MISO’s technology functions and developing long-term digital strategy to enable reliable and secure operations for future grid requirements. A veteran technology leader, Ms. Glitch also formally served as the Chief Security Officer for AVANGRID and Chief Information Officer for Iberdrola USA.
Ms. Glitch holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Science in multidisciplinary studies from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Her former board experience includes Midwest Reliability Organization, where she served as Chair of their Organizational Group Oversight committee.

Karen McCarthy
Vice President, Communications and Government Relations
Ms. McCarthy has been with the Fortis group of companies for over a decade, joining Newfoundland Power in 2013 as Manager, Corporate Affairs and Communications and subsequently Director, Customer and Corporate Relations. She joined Fortis Inc. in 2016 as Director, Communications and Corporate Affairs and was appointed Vice President, Communications and Corporate Affairs in 2018 and to her current role in 2023. Ms. McCarthy was previously President of an Atlantic Canadian public affairs consulting firm for seven years. She spent 15 years in the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial public service with senior roles in communications, cabinet operations, energy, labour relations and intergovernmental affairs. She holds a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Master of Education (Leadership) from Memorial University. She was awarded the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) in 2017.
Ms. McCarthy is Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Independent Appointments Commission, Past Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of ICD, and past Regent and Committee Chair on Memorial University's Board of Regents. Ms. McCarthy serves on the Board of Directors of Maritime Electric, a Fortis Utility. She is active within the Canadian Electricity Association and Edison Electric Institute, is an avid arts and business volunteer, and was awarded the Confederation 75th Anniversary Medal for her contributions to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Regan O’Dea
Vice President, General Counsel
Prior to joining Fortis Inc. in 2014, Regan worked in private practice in Newfoundland and Labrador where he represented the interests of Fortis Inc., and in-house with a national insurance company.
Regan graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Science and from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Laws. He is called to the bar of Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and appointed as King’s Counsel. Regan holds the CIC.C designation (Certified In-House Counsel-Canada) having contributed to the program’s early development and worked as part-time faculty at Memorial University business school. He has served on several community boards, including as past chair of the Board of Governors of the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Newfoundland Power and Caribbean Utilities Company, both Fortis utilities

Kevin Woodbury
Vice President, Innovation and Technology
Mr. Woodbury earned a Master of Business Administration at Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy at Dalhousie University. He is also a graduate of the Energy Executive Course at the University of Idaho.
Mr. Woodbury is active in the community. He currently chairs the Board of Opera on the Avalon, the largest opera company east of Montreal. He also serves on the Board of Shorefast Social Enterprises, a suite of social businesses including the award-winning Fogo Island Inn, that are part of the Shorefast charity. Mr. Woodbury is also on the Board of the Alliance for Transportation Electrification and is active with the Edison Electric Institute and Electric Power Research Institute.
